Pond Clean

 

Every 4 - 5 Years your ornimental fish pond or wildlife pond will require a deep clean due the build up of dead plant matter and detritus, this build up in time can be detrimental to your fish stocks and wildlife.

The process involves removing all your fish and wildlife and keeping them safe in storage tanks,  then all plants are removed split and repotted, this will improve the look of your pond and encourage new growth. we will then remove the water and all the debris that has built up on the bottom of your pond.  Then on to your filtration, this will be stripped down descaled and cleaned and UV bulbs and filter sponges replaced. We will will then pressure wash your liner and inspect for any damage normaly caused by age or Heron strikes, any damage will be repaired using a liquid butyl.

The pond will now been filled back up with clean water and treated with De- clorinator, the plants and pump will be placed appropriately back in the pond.

​

We will advise  you on planting schemes and suggest any additional planting, a well planted pond encourges wildlife and insects and is also key to good water quality

​

Then all fish and wildlife are replaced and your clean is complete, we will  then clean up our work area and leave your garden as we found it.

Cutback

 

Every autumn 90 percent of your aquatic plants will start dying off, it is beneficial to cut back the dying Reeds, Lilies and other plants. This promotes new growth in the spring and keeps the plants from spreading further into the water. If left unattended reeds and other plants will encroach in on the water surface and if left for many years will cover the whole surface
